With a power to weight ratio of 340bhp per tonne you are going to have an adrenalin pumping, action filled ride... not as a passenger but as a co-pilot as it is your responsibility to ensure the powerboat does not flip! Five minutes will feel like an hour, any more will feel like a day! It’s time to hang on for an extreme adventure pulling 90 and 180 degree turns at 40+ mph! We will be taking you around a race circuit, or pushing the limits in time trials for an experience that you or your clients will never forget... Whatever you decide we know that you will finish the day tired but with huge smiles! Vortex VIP Racing Days Vortex Racing along with the National Zapcat Championship organisers are working together to provide a UK first! The opportunity at 8 events in England, Scotland and Northern Ireland to compete in a televised powerboat race series as a co-pilot! This is a strictly limited number event, a maximum of 20 people. You will arrive at the championship venue on a Thursday evening and attend a safety briefing, ready for an intensive Bootcamp on Friday. This is not for the faint hearted or unfit as you will be racing for real in an extreme event! Boys just to let you know some of the best co-pilots are female! Saturday everyone will attend driver and safety briefings and your staff will compete in one heat each with the four fastest co-pilots and their Zapcats competing in your own finals. At the end of the day you will all attend the prize giving and the race team party and then you will have the chance to watch the racing on Sunday from the comfort of the hospitality tent / vehicle knowing that you were a competitor the day before and have had first hand experience! Your company will be an event co-sponsor for the day, entitling you to put up your own flags and banners, which we can assist with and we can also brand the Zapcats in your own company colours or include your own company racing Zapcat as part of our Managed Racing service. Not only will your company be covered by television, but also local and regional media and with an opportunity to promote yourselves to up to 50,000 + spectators. An amazing and unique experience over a few days that will bring together those who take part, all will certainly have huge smiles on the faces and a massive feeling of accomplishment. Packages start from £16,500 Vortex at Sea Vortex Racing specialises in delivering very unique Corporate Event Activities using Zapcats, high performance powerboats that handle as if on rails in flat water and come to life in surf! We own and operate four Zapcats and a 10.5m Cobra RIB that we use on the Solent. For larger groups on the Solent we can charter varying boats as support vessels to the Zapcats. Our Zapcat Experiences run throughout the year; all our clients are provided with the appropriate safety equipment as well as drysuits, boots and gloves ensuring that their experience is not only exhilarating but also safe, warm and dry! We can cater for varying group sizes usually between a minimum of 10 people to a maximum of 36 in a day. We can also provide marker buoys for time trials, or setting a basic Zapcat race course, however we can only provide actual racing experiences at Zapcat Racing sanctioned events as part of our VIP Racing Days. (see above) Client needs vary as do the packages and itineraries but we can guarantee a fantastic day out at sea on a big RIB and flying around on the Zapcats! Packages start from £2,975 for 10 people Vortex Lakeside Events Perfect for Product Launches, Sales Conventions, Seminars, Client Days... Vortex Racing will give you that something a little bit different, very exciting and extremely entertaining! From the comfort of the bar and patio areas you can watch your colleagues and clients be put through their paces pulling 2-3 G turns around marker buoys, great fun and then you realise it is your turn to co-pilot a Zapcat! We can handle much larger groups than at sea and you will have the chance to talk to your clients during the day as well as maybe joining them on other activities such as quad biking, blindfold driving or raft building. We can also arrange conference rooms, accommodation, meals including BBQs, music and entertainment. Located in Reading the venue is easily accessed by rail, road and also via Helicopter! This venue and day is perfectly suited for groups of 20 people or more.
